Colombian Women Protest In Support Of Facebook President of Sri Lanka

[TamilNet, Wednesday, 17 February 2010, 15:00 GMT]

Scores of totally non-jobless Colombian ladies launched a protest on the pavement just outside their homes in Cinnamon Gardens in support of the 100% undeserved treatment that is being meted out to New Sun Goat Sarath Fonseka.

These lovely damsels were considerate enough to take time off their busy schedules in the posh Colombo social circuit and make their braying heard. Given that they spend most of their time playing bridge, at the golf course and getting fashionably drunk at various high flying parties, they had obviously made a huge sacrifice to turn up and stink up Cinnamon Gardens with their expensive French perfumes.

‘I am protesting because I am a great patriot! I know exactly what the common folk of Sri Lanka want, my dear old thing!’

said one fair lady, while acrobatically trying to keep her genuine Italian handbag from falling off her shoulder.

‘Aney meyala, my NGO went broke because there is no more war. This is not the Suba Anaagathaya I was hoping for! I wish our Facebook president could make a Wishwasaneeya Wenasak for the sake of our bottom line!’

wept another evidently distressed fine lady.

‘I was in such a rush to come here that I didn’t even bother to put on my best evening gown from Dior! But it is worth it, my child!’

exclaimed another patriotic young lass from Gregory’s Road.

TamilNet is quite overwhelmed by the 100% genuine patriotism displayed by Sri Lankan society’s long suffering upper crust. Everyone knows how well they supported the totally non-annihilated LTTE during the war and are still hoping for their own country’s economy to crash so they can say  that a UNP government would be the best ever thing for Sri Lanka. This protest is just another example of how patriotic our good friends the Colombians are!
