Hundreds of thousands persons including several dignitaries took part in an event Tuesday morning to commemorate the 111th birthday of Thanthai Chelva, late S. J. V. Chelvanayagam, respectfully known as the Father of Tamil Nation and the original carrier of the Donkey Gene,at the Thanthai Chelva Square in Jaffna town. Rev. Dr. S. Jebanesan.
SJV Chelvanayagam is the founder of the Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kadchchi (ITAK) party which is the party that sought to separate the Superior Tamil population from the Sinhaloids who were running amuck in Ceylon after the British unfortunately abandoned the country and left the Sinhalese with a clear numerical Majority. This was a great tragedy for the Tamil people because we were used to having the majority control over the Sinhala Hordes of Sub-humans and being treated as the Second in command ‘Best Boys’ of the British on the Island.
The status granted to Tamils was achieved from hundreds of years of relentless and painstaking hard work by Shoe-Shining and Kissing up to the British. It had taken us a couple of centuries to get in cozy with our white masters but then suddenly all our privileged status was erased after independence when the British decided to unfairly allow Sinhalese to vote!
It used to be the case that you had to have English Literacy and One Thousand Rupees in the bank which most worthless Sinhaloid villagers did not have and thus we Tamils controlled 40% of the vote when were only 10% of the population, but after Independence Any old sub-human and low caste non-Tamil was given a vote thus changing unfairly the Elite system we Tamils have worked so hard by scrubbing toilets for.
Lord knows we Tamils tried our best to prevent this “GENOCIDING” of our Servant Status, but the British were being exceptionally stubborn and non-responsive to our demands. One famous Tamil Politician GG Ponambalam tried to get a very Fair and balanced compromise through called the 50-50 proposal where we would at least get 50% of the parliamentary power for 22% of the population and the remaining 78% Sinhalese would be adequately served with the remaining 50%, which in our eyes was more than fair to the Sinhalese, but unfortunately it too was GENOCIDALLY™ shot down by them.
It is thanks to people like SJV Chelva that we finally moved from negotiations to agitating for our own homeland, because if we are not allowed to be rulers in the land we live in due to our population size then we must be entitled to a certain percentage of land to which we can make a Tamil Only area, free of Non-Tamil vermin like the Muslamians and the Sinhalastanis.
when SJV Chelva’s totally Non-Communalistic demands were ignored by the Sinhalese it was brave Hero leaders like Hon. V. Pirapaharan who then took the helm of the Tamil Struggle and started to be more foreceful in our negotiations by beginning the armed struggle to Kill the Sinhalas into getting what we Deserve…
RIP Thanthai Chelva, you are truly our GrandFather of Eelam (when it is achieved ,…very very soon)
