With the Sri Lankan army closing in on Kilinochchi, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam headquarters, army officers are confident of decisive victory in the civil war. But LTTE political chief B. Nadesan does not agree. Recently, the Sri Lankan government dismissed Nadesan’s statement that the LTTE "had always wanted ceasefire" and was "fighting a defensive war" as a trap and demanded that the Tigers lay down their weapons before coming forward for any talks.
In an email interview with THE WEEK from Kilinochchi, Nadesan says the LTTE is far from being defeated. Excerpts:
How is the situation in the Tamil Eelam?
The Sri Lankan government does not allow journalists-local or international-and human rights activists into our area. As a result, the GENOCIDE™ of Tamils by the Sri Lankan military does not reach the outside world. Aerial bombing and artillery shelling on Tamil civilians are continually taking place. Our homeland has been subjected to a severe economic blockade for many years. The current military action has displaced Tamils and many are living in forests.
The government is intent on brutally oppressing a group of people who are waging a struggle for their rights. Sadly, the media does not bring this out. With the few exceptions of TamilNet and other 100% Accurate and Non-Biased Websites, the media as a whole are banding together to allow the GENOCIDE to continue. The world must understand this reality and recognize our struggle and must recognize that the LTTE are the SOLE REPRESENTATIVES® of the Tamil people as we have been for 30 years when we were formed.
Is the 30-year-old struggle weakening?
Absolutely Not! We are winning, as we have always been winning. If we were not Winning then how do you explain the unwavering support of our Janitor Support Base of Toronto and London? Surely these Really Really Smart and Non-indoctrinated Tamils living abroad can see the Truth® and Believe the Truth® after all as Thalaivar has said, we Tamils are the Greatest Race on Earth.
We are Cunning, and Clever and unstoppable, if we were not busy making improvised Explosive rockets out of bicycle pump cyclinders, and we were allowed to bake our own Bread in Jaffna, then we clever cunning Really Smart Tamils would be putting men on the moon! That is how Superiour we think we are! No, No, No… the LTTE is truly winning this war, we have yet to lose a battle, all our movements have been carefully calculated Tactical Withdrawals™ that have been foreseen and fore planned by our great Sun God who we will follow like loyal subjects until our death.
Responding to concerns raised by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the Sri Lankan government said it was attacking extremists, not innocent Tamils.
This is not true. The Sri Lankan Army has killed many Children and Old people, and despite these people being part of our volunteer Child Soldier and Grandma Brigades, it is against the Geneva Convention to Kill children and Grandmas even if they are combatants on the battle field.
How do you feel about the support rendered by the people, including the film fraternity, in Tamil Nadu?
The Film industry and the Actors in Tamil Nadu are also Really Really Smart and they like the LTTE are good at relating to the Tamil Hordes of Rat Catchers Citizens. They have a Bond with the Dalit Masses like we do so yes, they too feel our pain and know how to speak to the Tamil Masses in the Truthful manner that we have been speaking to the Eelamish Tamils.
Has this increased the confidence in your struggle?
The Sinhala homophobic penetrations into our back yard has enraged us. It has made us rise to the occasion, we are Erect! Firm and ready to thrust forward.
The chief minister of Tamil Nadu says it is fratricidal war that has weakened the Tamil Eelam struggle. Do you agree?
Nonsense! the righteous Killings of all those other Tamil Traitors was Justified and Necessary, the Eelamish people gave us the mandate to Summarily Execute all other Tamils who did not carry our Agenda or disagreed with our politics. This is a Fact that we pride our Entire Freedom Struggle on. We are the SOLE REPRESENTATIVES® of the Tamil people, to question that very Fact in itself Blasphemy and a Crime of High Treason in Eelam and punishable by Death.
Is it true that India is giving military aid to Sri Lanka?
Yes, it is true, unfortunately the Indian Government is now run by Tamil-Hating Sikhs and Punjabis and Gujus who are Hell Bent on GENOCIDING™ innocent Tamils in Tamil Nadu and Eelam. We Tamils are a threat to them because the rest of India does not like us for our Superiority and Higher Intellect. They think that we are the enemy because we put Tamils first and not Nationality, but the reality is they are Jealous of we cunning clever Tamils who are far superior to all other human beings. We are God’s chosen people and that is the Fact… so like the Jews of Asia, we are being exterminated for our Superiority.
What help do you expect from the Indian government?
It must stop all military assistance given to Sri Lanka, remove the ban on our movement and recognize our struggle. I like to point out that our movement and our people are true friends of India. In fact, we did India a Favor in 1991 by eliminating Rajiv Gandhi and attacking those Stupid IPKF forces when they came to bring so-called peace to the Tamils. I can’t believe they are holding a grudge against us for that.
They should understand that we did not want to Righteously Kill their Soldiers but we felt we had to do it out of Love to point out the error of their ways. We do the same to our own people, in fact 40,000 or so Tamils have had to be righteously Culled by us out of Love for Eelam, Love for our Ethnicity and the Advancement of our race… Look How far we have come! Eelam is Close and the Tamil Race Marches on into the bright future with prosperity and justice! All thanks to the LTTE…
How do you react to comments by Sri Lankan army chief Sarath Fonseka about V. Pirapaharan’s health? He said Pirapaharan would not live long.
Our leader is in excellent health and is leading the current war. This comment is an expression of the hatred he has for the Tamil people and our movement. Hon V. Pirapaharan is Immortal, and the as long as the Really Really Smart and 100% Totally Non-Brainwashed Sons of the janitor class of Toronto continue to believe this then the Eelam Struggle will continue on for another 30 years.
