The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) are considering declaring independence from Great Britain, says a LTTE representative on condition of anonymity to TamilNet. This move is to be parallel to the statements made by Bruce Fein, a lawyer employed by the Tamils for Justice in the United States.
In his opinion peace in the Washington times Mr. Fein states that by the “self-evident truths celebrated in the Declaration of Independence”, Tamils right to a separate state should be recognized.
LTTE leaders in Vanni have expressed their delight at the comments made by the lawyer hired by them. It’s learnt that the Tiger supremo, the Great Sun God, is going to use these comments as his newest political strategy. Following the United States declaration of independance, the LTTE will soon declare their independence from Great Britain in a council of Tamil colonies from Canada, Australia, Norway, England and France named “United States of Tamil Eelam”.
It’s yet unclear when and where the colonies will meet. But LTTE leadership are going ahead with drafting a new constitution, to follow the declaration of independence of the United “States” of Tamil Eelam, which will follow the United States constitution as much as possible. According to available information in the “new constitution”, the value of a Sinhalese will be considered as 3/5 of a Tamil person.
However the LTTE leadership will not put this declaration of independence or the new constitution to paper. This is in accordance with the LTTE’s new Green Initiative and is aimed at reducing the usage of paper and thus protecting the environment.
